Paul Wayne Thurston, Jr., 46 of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 in Regional Hospital. He was born in Terre Haute on September 30, 1975 to Paul Thurston, Sr. and Sondra Hudson Thurston.

Paul worked at Taghleef Industries for over 20 years and later worked at Duke Energy in Cayuga. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church and loved his 1969 Dodge Super Bee. He also was a huge fan of the Washington Redskins and the Atlanta Braves, and enjoyed golfing, motocross, and any type of racing, but more than anything else, he enjoyed spoiling his grandson Kyler.

Paul is survived by his wife Samantha Jo Thurston and two daughters, Megan Thurston Knight (Kendall) and Mallory Thurston, and grandson Kyler Joseph Thurston. He is also survived by his father, Paul Thurston, Sr. (Gala), his mother, Sondra Cagle, sister Roxanne Poe (David), grandmother Loretta Thurston, nephew Payton DeLucio and three step-children; Henry Lee Roberts, Catherine Viola Fulk, and Gabriel Anthony Fulk. He also leaves behind three step-siblings; Brandie Matlock, Daphanie Long, and Robert Long, a sister-in-law, Marjorie Eades (Kyle), and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Joseph Thurston, Martha and James Hudson, and Mary Meadlo.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 6:00 PM, with Rev. Larry Lilly officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Paul to Shriners Children’s St. Louis Hospital.
