Michael L. James, 74, passed away June 24, 2022.  He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on July 20, 1947 to Kenneth and Mildred (Oldham) James.  Michael served in the United States Army in Korea during the Vietnam War.  He was a humble and quiet man.  He loved all animals especially his cats. Michael was known for always having a piece a candy in his pocket to give to others.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Larry James.  Michael is survived by his wife of 42 years Jo Ann (Shepard) James; children Jason Webster, Jodie Hamblen (Eddie), Amanda Carter (Josh), Jennifer James, and Eric James; grandchildren Casey, Courtney, Cylie, Owen, Conner, and Olivia; and 5 great grandchildren.  Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, with military honors.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11:00a.m. until service time.
