William (Bill) S. Beck Jr, 87, of Terre Haute passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife and family by his side. Bill was born October 28, 1934 in Bridgeton, New Jersey and graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1953.

Bill was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He worked as the printing foreman at Ivy Hill and was a member of St. Joseph Church.

Bill enjoyed fossil hunting, traveling, watching B-rated science fiction movies, seashell collecting, and spending time with family. As a naturalist, Bill valued all knowledge but especially that of nature and animals. He loved visiting Florida and the family made trips to Fort Myers Beach every summer for many years. There Bill would find shells and explore the beaches of the Gulf Coast, sharing his passions with his children. Being a family man came naturally to Bill. His grandkids cherish memories of his playfulness and unconditional love. Always quick with a joke, and quicker with a compliment, Bill lit the room with joy and sincerity.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William S. Beck Sr and Irene Layton Beck, daughters Bonnie Beck, Edith Callahan, baby Rosanne, brother-in-laws Raymond Stanisz and Bud Heisroth.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Elizabeth Stanisz Beck, his sister Barbara Heisroth, and brother-in-law Ed Stanisz. He is also survived by his children: William S. Beck III (Annelie), Michael McQueary (Kelly), Tom McQueary (Amy), Angie Morales, and Bob Beck (Whitney). Also his many grandchildren: Elizabeth Morales, Ethan Robinson, Sydney McQueary, AnnMarie McQueary, Lexi McQueary, Laurynn McQueary, Lincoln Beck, Theodore Beck, Joey Smith (Ally), and more in New Jersey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The people in his life meant the world to him. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and will live in their hearts forever.
