INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Zoo goers should be on the lookout for a community campaign being launched in July to help name three newborn tiger cubs ahead of their debut to the public in mid-September. In the meantime, these cubs are doing well.

The Indianapolis Zoo’s 7-year-old Amur tiger gave birth to Triplets on May 27th. Now the zoo is preparing to introduce the nameless tiger cubs. For the next 12 weeks, the cubs will be bottle-fed. There are fewer than 100 Amur tigers in zoos accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The zoo said Amur tigers in the wild have lost almost 95% of their territories.
