George Michael Thompson of West Terre Haute passed away July 11, 2022 in his home. He was born October 14, 1969 in Terre Haute to James L Thompson Sr and Sarah J Thompson (Doyal). He was preceeded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Robyn Thompson, mother-in-law Dee Ann Maxwell Carter, sister Linda Thompson, brother Timothy Wagle, sister-in-law Janet Thompson, brother-in-law Kevin Greggory, great nephew Travis Andrew Bohannon.
He is survived by his sister Marilyn Miller, brothers Jim Thompson, Gary Thompson, David Thompson and wife Kathy all of Terre Haute. Stepchildren Brittany Norton, Linda Johnson, Levi Otto. Step-grandchildren Bryley, Brayly, Kylie Norton, Hannah Mooreland, Savannah Wallace, Brantly Spitler, Jordan Otto. Nieces Jamie Johns, Donna Miller. Nephews Jeffrey Miller, Brian Miller. Great niece Stephanie Kuckewich. Great Nephews Garrett Kuckewich, Sean Bohannon, Eryk Johns. Family friends Jill Drake, Marilyn Neese, Mary Jo Stephens. Several aunts, uncles and cousins. He enjoyed riding horses, ATV’s, jet skis, hunting, fishing, camping, cooking. He worked as a welder for Great Dane for many years. He was employed at Vigo Machine Shop. He really enjoyed working there, even made a post on Facebook just a couple months ago that said “best job I’ve ever had Vigo Machine Shop they treat you like family”. Being a kid at heart He always had a joke to tell and a hand in mischief. Family and friends was very important to him and enjoyed spending time with them. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 1:00p.m. Pastor Curtis Mitchell Sr will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 12:00p.m. until service time.
