Robert Glen “Bob” Herrington, 75 of Dennison, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 9:22 AM in his residence. He was born in Terre Haute on January 21, 1947 to Glen Herrington and Edith Majors Herrington.

Bob was a retired Boilermaker for Local # 374. He began working at age 17 at Terre Haute Boiler and later worked on the road. Bob loved fishing, hunting, and dirt track racing. He owned several cars, particularly sprint cars that were driven by special friend Kenny Carmichael.

Bob is survived by his wife Sherri Marlene Harmon Herrington, whom he married May 21, 1966, and his daughter Tami Herrington. Also surviving is a sister Anita Hibschman and a brother Richard Herrington (Rose), grandchildren; Christa Starr (Tony), Justin Wyrick (Laci), Jamie Bays, Jesse Wyrick, and Sabrina Scott, as well as great grandchildren; Electra Starr, Ava Wyrick, Gage Wyrick, Gavin Bays, Ellie Bays, Brylee Shelton, and Nick Blankenship, as well as many cousins, Niece, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeffrey Herrington, daughter-in-law Connie Herrington, and a sister, Maryanne.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 11:00 Am – 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
