Cheryl Darlene (Pine) Counterman, 78 of Terre Haute, was called home to Heaven on August 18, 2022. She was born in Terre Haute on June 25, 1944 to Adrian Pine and Rosella Hogue Pine.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 52 years, Russell Counterman, and daughters Tracy Shelley and Carla Hamm, and son Troy Counterman. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Misti Karas, Justin Robinson, and Cameron Wright, three great grandchildren; Saryn, Evan, and Autumn, and siblings; Freddy, Brenda, Randy, Jimmy, Rosie, and Camilla, as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings; Erma, Beverly, Barbara, Terry, Larry, and Kevin.

Cheryl was a homemaker and loved cooking and baking for her family. She never met a stranger, always having a smile and hug for everyone. She loved her church and praising the Lord.

Funeral services will be held at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church, 1442 South 10th St., Terre Haute, IN on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM, with Brother Ted Hamby officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasantview Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
