
Nelson Louis Kennedy Jr 34 of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away suddenly on Saturday August 27, 2022. He was born on October 28, 1987 to Nancy Stevens and Nelson Kennedy Sr. He leaves behind his fiance of almost 14 years Sarah Day, he loved her so much and to each other they were husband and wife. They have three beautiful children Cadence 11, Abel 8, Kiera 5. His parents Nancy Stevens and Nelson Kennedy, sister Charity Kennedy (Josh), brother Stason Kennedy of Greencastle, Indiana, sister Jessica Cable (Ben), two nieces Serena Cable and Stacie Lowe, brother in laws Adam Ankrom (Loretta) and Josh Arthurs both of New Philadelphia, OH, uncle’s Everett Stevens, Elmer Carlyle, Rick Kennedy (Connie), Kevin Kennedy, Paul “Bub” Kennedy, Tim Fields, aunts Janet Stevens, Sandy Haney (Mark), Cheryl Hettlinger (Frank), Karen Myers, Brenda Wright, step dad Tom Bolton (Roxie), close friends JJ Horne, Levi Wells, many cousins and friends.
Nelson graduated from Booker T Washington High School in 2005. He loved cooking, mainly out on the grill. At one point he wanted to go to Culinary School. He was a family man & loved his kids more than anything. He worked at Data Label for about 12 years while there he worked his way up to Line Operator. He enjoyed work and his coworkers.
He’s preceded in death by his older brother Michael Paul Kennedy, maternal grandparents Evelyn and Elmer Carlyle, paternal grandparents Norma “Granny” and Paul Kennedy, mother in law Terri Day, uncles Chuck Carlyle and Bob Laycock, aunt Delores Carlyle, great aunt Dottie Haney, and his dear friend Walter Horne.
Services will be held at Greiner Funeral Home 2005 N 13th St Terre Haute, Indiana on Thursday September 1, 2022 with visitation starting at 11 am until services at 1 pm. He will be laid to rest in Bethesda Cemetery in West Terre Haute.
Family and friends are welcome to join us for a celebration of life at Deming Park at the Torner Shelter. It’s the building by the concessions. There will be food and drinks but you’re more than welcome to bring a covered dish if you’d like. Our family asks that hug your loved ones and tell them you love them everyday cause tomorrow’s never promised.
