SULLIVAN – Nkosi Ziba, 45, of Paxton, In., passed away at Sullivan Park and Lake in Sullivan, In., on Monday, 5 September 2022.
He was born 10 July 1977 in Lusaka, Zambia to Roger and Martha Banda Ziba.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Ziba; a brother, Malcolm Ziba and his father and mother in law, Dale and Sharla Steffler Mahurin.
He is survived by the love of his life, Brieonna Mahurin Ziba, who he married 3 September 2015. Their two children Chalatte JoNell and William Nkosi Ziba, all of Paxton, In. Two daughters, Shiro Ziba, of Kenya and Grace Ziba, of Zambia and son, Thomas(Sophia) Nyaga and their son, Liam Nkosi, of Nairobi, Kenya.
Also surviving are his mother, Martha; brothers, Shupo Ziba, Lombe Ziba and Lawrence Barnett; sisters, Tandy, Cuzo and Given Ziba, all of Zambia.
Nkosi worked at Advics Manufacturing in Terre Haute.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He loved watching old cowboy movies, especially John Wayne; spending time with his family. Loved spending as much time as he could snagfishing in Grand Rivers, Kentucky at the Kentucky Dam. His wife’s pumpkin pies were his weakness and all time favorite. She could never make enough for him-15 was his highest limit and was determined to eat more next Thanksgiving.
Services will be 1 October 2022 at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N 13th St., Terre Haute with visitation being 11-1 services starting around 1. Burial will follow services at Calvary Cemetery.
