Dennis H. Hogue “Hoagie”, 79, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday November 2, 2022 at Signature Health Care. Dennis was born on August 31, 1943 in Terre Haute to Harold Hogue and Ruby White Hogue. He formerly attended Cross Tabernacle Church in Terre Haute, he was a meat cutter for K-Mart and later retired from Kroger’s. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping, hunting rabbits and hunting mushrooms. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and a brother John Hogue and a sister, Flo Evans. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cheyenne Strassler and a son in-law, Jeff Thomann. He is survived by his wife, Lee Ann Scott Hogue of Terre Haute, two daughters; Lori Thomann of Terre Haute and Amy Higgins (Scott) of Greensburg, KY. He is survived by two brothers; Jim Hogue (Jean) of West Terre Haute and Joe Hogue (Sally) of Arizona. Grandchildren survive; Zack Strassler (Kelly), Ernie Higgins (Ashley), Lucas Strassler (Kerri), Caleb Strassler (Brittany), Jessica Houchens (Bailey), Josh Higgins (Erica). Great Grandchildren; Dixie Higgins, Cabella Higgins, Kylie Strassler, Colton Strassler, Oaklyn Strassler, Kamerin Salyers, Ian Mathes and Tyson, Daniel, Shelby and Logan. Services are Saturday November 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Memories in Roselawn Memorial Park with burial following. Pastor Curtis Mitchell will be officiating.
