Ronald “Ron” Lee Poore “Pappy”, 74, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away November 16, 2022. He was born on October 13, 1948, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to David Hiram Poore and Edna Marie (Hart) Poore. Ron worked as an Operator at Mid-Land Glass and retired from Pfizer. He was a member of The Elks Lodge #86. Ron was a long time avid golfer. He and his late son are both in the Indiana Golf Hall of Fame. Ron is preceded in death by his parents; son Ronald H. Poore; and siblings David Poore, Ricky Poore, and Sandy Screen. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Marjorie Poore; daughter Catha McCarty (David); grandchildren Josh McCarty, Nikki McCarty, Regan McCarty, Jamie Poore, and Bailee Poore; nephews Lee Poore and David Poore; great nephews Brayden Poore, Braxton Poore, and Griffin Poore. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 12:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home Saturday, from 10:00a.m. until service time.
