Dwayne Joseph Bridwell, 61, of Terre Haute passed away Monday afternoon, December 5, 2022 at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care, with his loving family by his side.  He was an Industrial Electrician with Taghleef Industries where he worked for the last 25 years.  Dwayne was born September 4, 1961 in Terre Haute to Amos Joseph Bridwell and Katherine Tuttle Bridwell.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Amy A. Spivey Bridwell;  two sons, Christopher Bridwell and Aaron Bridwell (Tara Wilkinson) of Terre Haute;  his parents, Joe and Katherine Bridwell of Terre Haute; mother-in-law, Carolyn Chilton;  and grandchildren, Ayden J. Bridwell, Mkynzie Bridwell, Leah Bridwell, Logan Bridwell and Mallory Bridwell, all of Terre Haute.  Also surviving are his sisters, Sandy Pilipovich (Steve) and Katherine Bridwell of Terre Haute;  brother, Mark Bridwell of Terre Haute;  sister-in-law, Sacha Fugate (Steve) and their family;  brother-in-law, Randy Spivey (Tammy) and their family;  and nieces and nephews, Amanda Davis (Clint) of West Terre Haute, Zachary Bridwell of Terre Haute, Nicholas Pilipovich (Anne Elise) of Dallas, TX, Joshua Bridwell (Taylor) of Indianapolis and Matthew Pilipovich of Los Angeles, CA.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Amos and Maude Bridwell and William and Mattie Tuttle; and aunts, Betty Bridwell, Elizabeth Cliburn, Mary Green and Doris D’Angelo.

Dwayne was a graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and received his Associated Degree from Ivy Tech.  He enjoyed boating, water skiing and camping at Dale Hollow Lake, playing drums, traveling, racing, especially NASCAR and Indianapolis 500, Colts football and was a die hard Cubs fan.  He loved his dogs and cats, and especially loved playing with his grandchildren.

Dwayne was a devoted family man and a good provider.  He was the “glue” that held his family together.  He worked hard his whole life, and passed from this life way too soon. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2022 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Brother Danny McAdams officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 8th from 4:00-8:00 PM and also prior to services on Friday from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM in the funeral home.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Dwayne’s Life at the Sycamore Club, 200 Heritage Drive, Terre Haute, immediately following the burial.
