Charles B. Eldridge passed at Carmel, IN on December 1.  He was born June 11, 1937 to Henry and Frances Eldridge in Vigo County.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Loraine Gibson.

He served honorably in Navy Reserves and Air Force at Strategic Air Command AF base in California as a mechanic on B-52’s.  Charles was raised on a farm near Lewis, IN and graduated from Blackhawk High School.  He became a Sheet Metal Worker in Local #20 in 1967.  He was a member of Gateway United Methodist Church now in Fortville, IN.

Charles and Joan Winders Eldridge were married 54 years ago and have two daughters.  Linda and Rob Hochstetler of Chapin, South Carolina have three children Alexandria and Liam Dance of London, England, Brooke Hochstetler of Indianapolis and Carter Hochstetler of Chapin.  Also part of the family are Markeus, Stephanie and Michael.  Judy and Bryan Everly of Indianapolis have two children Julia Everly of Michigan, Christopher Everly and partner Zoe Magill of Indianapolis.

There will be no visitation or funeral service but the family will have a memorial service at a later date. Our thanks to caregivers at Green House Cottages of Carmel and Heart 2 Heart Hospice.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
