Carol J. Pinkston, 82, of Terre Haute, IN passed away in her residence on December 15, 2022.
She was born on November 28, 1940 to Clarence and Josephine Chapman.
Carol graduated from Hutsonville High School in 1958.  She married her high school sweetheart, Carl, in July of 1959.
She provided and cared for her family well, raising her daughter’s two children for several years when her daughter became ill with Lupus.  She never complained about any responsibilities that came her way.

Carol was a Court Reporter for 40 years and truly loved her job, only retiring at age 79 due to her illness. She still spoke of wanting to continue working.

Carol and Carl traveled all over the United States for many years, visiting many famous landmarks from Maine to California and Canada to Florida.  She loved walking the beach and looking for seashells.  They stayed in many beach towns around the entire perimeter of Florida to experience all the different types of beaches, rarely returning to the same beach the following year.
She is survived by son Michael (Suzy) Pinkston of Terre Haute, IN; grandchildren Matthew (Jessie) Graham of Terre Haute, Alyssa Caputo of Cumming, Georgia, Elizabeth (Izzy) and Nathan Pinkston of Terre Haute, IN; and great-grandchildren Kaydence and Josey Young, Leviathan Graham, Phoenix and Gryffin Caputo. Also surviving, are brother-in-law, Chuck Meeker; nephew, Doug (Rosemary) Meeker; and niece, Dianne (Larry) Krause.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Pinkston; father, Clarence Chapman; mother, Josephine Chapman; Sister, Theresa Meeker; and daughter, Jeanne Graham Pinkston.
