Layanna Lynn Cornes, was still born on January 5, 2023 in Union Hospital. She is the daughter of Kadrian Cornes and Josie Salyers.

Layanna is survived by her parents, a sister, Anyah Cornes, as well as maternal grandparents Jeff and Jamie Salyers, and paternal grandparents, Pam and Derrick Thompson, and Leon Cornes. Also surviving are her great grandparents; Joe and Johanna Kastigar, Judy Clark, and Sharon Jones, uncles Logan Kastigar (Ashley), Collin Salyers, Jolin Cornes, Josh Cornes, and Isreal Hurtt, and an aunt, Jayden Cornes. The family would like to give a special thanks to Ashley Kastigar for all her support and compassion during this time.

Private graveside services for Layanna will be held at Dunlap Cemetery near Dennison, Illinois. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
