Sherie Dawn Barker, 65, was born in Terre Haute, IN on June 21, 1957, and passed away on January 3, 2023. Though she was born in Terre Haute, she and her family also lived in California for part of her childhood. She had many memories of traveling west with the whole family loaded up in the car. Sherie worked for Columbia House for over a decade where she met many lifelong friends. After moving on from there, she had a few short term jobs, but ultimately ended her working career at Roselawn Funeral Home truly enjoying her data entry position and the many friendships she made there. Though she had health issues in the later part of her life that limited her ability to do all the things she loved, she never hesitated to help others. She was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend.

Sherie was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Barker, mother Helen Barker (Snedeker), and her brother Mark Barker. She is survived by her sister Cindy Simpson and husband Richard of Hemet, CA, brothers Kent Barker and wife Mae of Clinton, IN, Jay Barker and wife Elizabeth of Clay City, IN and sister in law Rena Barker of Bowling Green, IN. Surviving are her two children, daughter Jenell Zigler (Mount) and husband Brad, son Elliott Mount and wife Alexandra all of Terre Haute, IN, as well as her five grandchildren, Brayson, Mason, and Oaklee Zigler and Hailey and Khai Nenneman. Sherie is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are welcome to join us to honor Sherie on January 16, 2023 at Greiner Funeral Home. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Service will follow.
