Linda Kay (Ferren) Hegedus, born June 2, 1941, in Terre Haute, IN to Forrest Ferren and Helen (Kendal) Ferren, passed away February 15, 2023.

Linda worked as a dedicated hair stylist for 44 years between Fantastic Sam’s and Master Cuts. Linda was also a Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) lifetime member, at post 972. She was passionate about helping service members and veterans. Many things brought Linda joy, especially her family, love of dogs, drinking coffee, playing bingo and scratching lottery tickets.

Linda is survived by her sons: John Hegedus, Don Elrod (Judy) and Jeff Elrod (Lois); her grandchildren: Ashley Richey (Josh), Levi Elrod, and Whitney Herrington (Craig); her step-grandchildren: Michael O’Vivion, AJ Amsden, Stephanie Amsden ; and her great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Max, Mattox, and Mollie Richey, Alexis Herrington, and Chloe Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Stephens Episcopal Church of Terre Haute, IN, and Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care of the Wabash Valley.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11am at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 215 North 7thSt, Terre Haute, IN, 47807.
