William J. Brooks, 79 of Terre Haute, passed away in his home on February 18, 2023. Bill was born on
November 11, 1943 to Joseph and Barbara Brooks and was a 1961 graduate of Schulte High School in
Terre Haute. His death is preceded by his parents, his sister Marti Robinson, and his son Christopher. Bill
is survived by his wife of 58 years, Roberta Brooks, his children William “Billy” II (Stephanie), Theresa,
and Chris’s wife Kristina, and his siblings Earl Brooks (Betty) and Theresa Williams (Glen). He will be
remembered by his grandchildren: Megan Anderson (Eric) and Trey Brooks; JD (Nichole) and Jaelynn
(Josh) Pizzola; C.J. (Megan), Stephen, Mary, and Matthew Brooks; Jami Harrington (Regis) and Lindsay
Pizzola (Jake); as well as his great grandchildren: Parker, Logan, Drew, Jax, Hollis, Brianna, and his many
great-granddogs.
Bill was a proud member of IBEW 725 and a lifelong member of the Catholic Church, attending Sacred
Heart for most of his life. Bill was well established in the Terre Haute community with friends and
colleagues in various organizations and from supporting his children and grandchildren in their lives.
Visitation  will be held for Bill at Greiner Funeral Home in Terre Haute on Wednesday, February
22, 2023,  from 3:00p.m.-7:00p.m..  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday morning at 11:00a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 2322 N 13 1/2 Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.  Visitation will be from 10:00a.m. until mass.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
