Janet Louise Schuur King, 66 of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 in Majestic Care of Deming Park.  She was born in Augusta, GA on May 19, 1956 to Henry Schuur and Helen Fields Schuur.

Janet was a home maker and also worked in housekeeping at Royal Oaks.  She was very loving and caring, her grandkids were her world.  She loved music, especially Elvis and enjoyed making crafts and playing BINGO.

Janet is survived by three daughters; Sheila Smith (James), Misty Spears, and Buffy Ready, as well as eleven grandchildren; Holly, Devon, Breanna, Jayedan, Ashley, Ricky, Gaige, Brendon, Tommy, Jazzmon, and J.J.  She is also survived by siblings Ronald Schuur (Carolyn), Shirley Creasey (Terry), and Deborah Brenton as well as fifteen great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James Poole, and a son-in-law, James Ready.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Chuck Coffin officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
