TERRE HAUTE —  The Criminal Investigation Division of the Sheriff’s Office wants you to be aware of a rise in thefts from residential mailboxes, specifically incoming and outgoing checks.
It is recommended that that any outgoing checks you have, be deposited into a USPS mailbox for your safety.
We are currently investigating several reports and will update this information as we progress.
