Brenda Gail Smith, 66, of Terre Haute, departed from this world on the morning of Marth 29, 2023, Her son, Jeffrey Willcox, was by her side as she took her last breaths.

Brenda was born in Tennessee on December 20,1956, to Jimmy and Emma Jean Smith. The second oldest of five children, Brenda was raised along with her brothers and sisters in New Palestine, Indiana, and graduated from New Palestine High School in 1974. Brenda was extremely smart and always made good grades in school. After graduation, Brenda attended higher education courses.

Throughout Brenda’s life, she was guided by her unbridled spirit and instinct for adventure. She lived in many different cities and was never afraid to challenge herself in a new career. Having never met a stranger, she often opened not only her heart, but her home to friends in need. Known for her green thumb and love of cooking, Brenda always enjoyed time with friends. In her later years she could be found most days engrossed in a good V.C. Andrews book, and enjoying the company of her pup, Bouncer.

Brenda was proceeded in death by her Father, Jimmy Smith; brother, Richard Smith; brother-in-law, Michael Wood; and her life partner Timothy (Tim) Craig.

She is survived by her Mother, Emma Jean Smith; son, Jeffrey and his wife Jamie Wilcox, sister, Teresa Wood; brother David and his wife Nancy Smith; sister Janice and her husband Jeffrey Fields, grandsons, Jarred, Damien, and Noah Wilcox; granddaughter, Adriana Dominguez; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
