Heather Strohm, New Business Development Manager for Sony, spoke to the Clay County Chamber of Commerce at the April luncheon in the Clay County YMCA. She said 90 percent of Playstations sold in the United States were made in Terre Haute at the Sony DADC plant on Fruitridge Avenue. Sony has downsized its Terre Haute presence and now has one plant with 400 employees. At one time Sony employed more than 2,000 employees in Terre Haute. Strohm said Sony wants to partner with local business and can offer a wide variety of service, all with high security.
