Carol Lee Smith, passed away suddenly on April 7th at 8:43 a.m. She fought so hard to stay on this planet, she battled being on life support, she fought hard, she had been released from the hospital and went back to the nursing home and was doing her dialysis like she was suppose to and slowly gaining her strength back. But she was called home. Carol was born on December 23, 1970, to David Lee Smith and Barbara Jean Smith. She graduated from Terre Haute North Vigo High School in 1989. She was married to her work, she worked at Wolfes Terre Haute Auto Auction for 30 years and at Kohls for several years, she also loved the great outdoors and spending time with her grandkids and making them laugh and smile. Carol is predeceased by her daddy David Lee Smith and all her grandparents. She is survived by her daughter Autumn Smith (Jonathon) her grandkids Dolton, Hailee, and Olivia her mother Barbara Smith, her sisters Nanette Smith (Kent) and Cheryl Smith (Randy) her brother Paul Wayne Akers (Roseann) her nieces Leslie Henneman (Shawn), Ashley Martin (Kalvin), Amber Gussler (Brandon), Heather Boney (James), nephews Cory Coomer (Melissa), Chad Coomer (Liz), Matthew Akers (Chelsea) and Ryan Akers (Tammy), and several great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her lifelong friends Billie Sue Wycoff and Brent Woods. Services will be On Thursday April 13, 2023 from visitation 10-1 and services starting at 1pm at Greiner Funeral Home located at 2005 N 13 th st Terre Haute Indiana 47804 and burial at Roselawn Cemetery. There will also be a celebration of life for Carol at North Diamond Hall located at 4212 E Park Ave, Terre Haute Indiana 47805 immediaetly following services.
