
WASHINGTON – On May 2, ,Detectives/Officers with the Washington Police Department, DEA Task Force, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, and the Pike County Sheriff’s Office concluded an investigation into Dealing Methamphetamine on West Main Street. As a part of the investigation, a traffic stop was conducted by Officers with WPD on 42 year old Michael P. Moore in Washington. During the traffic stop, Moore was found to be in possession of approximately 7.5 grams of suspected Methamphetamine.
A Search Warrant was also served on an apartment on West Main Street by Officers with the WPD ERT & DCSO. Officers reported locating additional Methamphetamine, Controlled Substance prescription pills, syringes, paraphernalia, and items related to Narcotics distribution.
As a result of the investigation and Search Warrant, Moore was arrested on charges of Dealing Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of a Syringe, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Also arrested was 23 year old Claudia L. Hopkins on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Syringe, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Assisting throughout the investigation was the Indiana State Police and Vincennes Police Department.
