ROCKVILLE – The Rockville Police Department considers the lack of Cell Transport Systems in patrol cars a public safety concern. Cell Transport Systems help prevent officer assaults during transport, wrecks during transports, suspects access to evidence and firearms stored in the pas-senger/cargo areas, and assist with interviewing victims and suspects as they can be separated more safely.

Recently Main Street Rockville, Pat Ballinger, Aunt Patty’s Antique Mall, TJ Terrell, Bloomfields, and Cathie Preston, State Farm have made donations for the Cell Transport System for 2 Tahoe’s.

Main Street Rockville will have a Block Party on the square on July 29th, 2023 from 5 PM to 9PM. The Rockville Police Department will participate in the Dunk Booth. The proceeds will go to the Cell Transport System. The Rockville Police Department is grateful for all of the Donations and fund-raising opportunities.
