On June 16th, 2023, Brian Bruce Heckmann Jr left this world to be eternally free. In his 32 years on this Earth, Brian’s free spirit allowed him to go everywhere his heart would take him.

Born on November 14, 1990, to Rhonda (Remmers) Mainquist and Brian Bruce Heckmann Sr, Brian lived every minute to the fullest. He valued his family more than anything, and that love can still be found in the hearts of those he left here with us: His parents, his maternal grandparents; Beverly and Charles (Mom-mom and Pop-pop) Remmers, his wife; Christina (Hicks) Heckmann, his children; Brooklyn and Damien, step children; Madalyn and Marceline, siblings; Cody Fletcher and Christopher Kobett, uncle; Charlie Remmers, and a vast many friends.

One thing about Brian, is that he never failed to leave his mark. Quite literally. There are some very lucky people who will carry that mark in the artwork he left as he poured ink into their skin with his tattoos.

Having been born in North Carolina and growing up near the ocean, Brian loved the water. Maybe that’s why he chose the water as the place to marry the love of his life. That place, Fairbanks Park is where we will be holding his celebration of life. This will take place on Monday, July 3rd, at 5PM.
