James J. Bales II, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2023, in Orange City, Florida. Born on February 17, 1963, in Terre Haute, Indiana, James was a man of many talents and interests.

James was a proud alumnus of George Rogers Clark High School. He was known for his love of sports, particularly basketball and football, and was an avid golfer. His competitive spirit was not only seen on the sports field but also in the friendly games of pool he often enjoyed.

Beyond his sporting interests, James was a talented guitarist. His love for music was infectious, and he often spent hours strumming tunes on his guitar, filling the air with melodies that brought joy to those around him.

But above all, James cherished his family. He dedicated a significant portion of his life to caring for his mother, a testament to his loving nature and unwavering commitment to those he loved. His role as a son, brother, and uncle was one he embraced with love and dedication.

James is preceded in death by his father, James J. Bales.

James is survived by his mother, Janet Bales, siblings, Jerald Bales, Deborah Bales, and Amy Gael (Richard), nephews, Eric Bales, Joshua Bales, Matthew Bales, and Joseph Busse.

A private graveside service will be held at Clearview Cemetery.
