Dakota James Foster, 18, of Brazil, Indiana passed away on July 7, 2023 as a result of medical negligence.

Kota was born on December 22, 2004, in Greencastle, Indiana the son of April Carr. Kota attended Northview High School and was working toward obtaining his GED. Kota worked as a sales representative at Advanced Auto. Kota was a proud father of Hudson whom he got to spend 5 days with. Kota enjoyed spending time outdoors. He enjoyed racing go carts and riding 4-wheelers, fishing, hunting, playing football and baseball and most of all spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed attending Carlisle Christian Church when he was younger.

Kota is survived by his parents April and Jeremy Farris, his son Hudson, his fiancé Stacey Carter, his brothers and sisters: Rebecca Black (Skylar), Christopher “C.J.” Foster, Jaxson Farris, and Jaykub Farris, a nephew Dawson Black, aunts and uncles: Crystal Carr, William “Buck” Carr (Jasmine), Jane Wright, and Anthony Sappenfield (Britany), grandparents: Edith Blackburn (John Bryant), Joseph Farris, and Kathy Stevens, and Mike Stevens as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Services will follow at 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home.
