Betty Ann Funcannon, 97, of Terre Haute, passed away Monday July 24,  2023 in her residence. Betty was born April 4, 1926 in Iona, IN. to John William Allen and Ora Blanche Russell Allen. She was a longtime member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene in Terre Haute. She was a graduate of Plainville, High School. She was an avid reader and loved gardening and taking care of her flowers in her yard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Leah Ann Funcannon, five brothers, four sisters and her husband, John Funcannon who passed away January 22, 1993. She is survived by one sister, Evelyn Muston (Harold) of Terre Haute. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services are Wednesday August 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN. Terre Haute, IN 47804. Visitation will be on Tuesday August 1, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Pastor Dale Stoops will be officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to the Lighthouse Mission, Salvation Army or the charity of their choice.
