Judith Ann Casey, also known as Judy Casey, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones, on August 3, 2023, at the age of 74, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on December 12, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Judy was the beloved daughter of Cleo and Dorthy Reed.
Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 56 years, Gene, her only child Jason Casey, daughter in law Amber, grandchildren Addyson and Jameson, brother Ron Reed, and sister Julie Lapatch, many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. Judy’s family was her pride and joy, and she so cherished the time she spent with them.
In addition to her dedication to her family, Judy had a passion for various hobbies. She had a talent for baking, delighting her loved ones with her delicious creations. Judy also enjoyed shopping and could often be found exploring the aisles of her favorite stores. “Juju” (as her grand babies call her) loved cheering at her grandchildren’s sporting events, dance recitals, and choir concerts. In her free time, she found solace in tending to her vibrant flower beds. But above all, Judy’s greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will be forever treasured.
Judy’s warm and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of those around her. She will be so deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. As we bid farewell, let us hold onto the cherished moments and lessons she imparted. Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire us all. May she find peace in the arms of Jesus, and in the embrace of her loved ones who preceded her in death.
