BRAZIL, Indiana (DLC Media) – The Northview Knights have rushed their way to an impressive 4-0 start while compiling definitive victories through the ground game all season long. Despite some throwing success just two weeks ago, head coach Mark Raetz seemingly has a vision for how this team will play and that is between the tackles.

On the defensive end, Northview has seen primarily passing teams like Greencastle (who used their height advantage in the first half) and complete dedication to the run like West Vigo. This week may be different as the Patriots come into Brazil looking to produce a balanced aerial and ground attack. This will be the first time since week one that the Knights have faced a team that could throw or run on any given play.

The big question… How will the Knights handle the mix of playcalling? The magic eight ball says “Outlook Good”. The Knights have produced a consistent pass rush as well as run-stopping capabilities with players on the line such as Jace Deakins (15 TKLs, 2.5 TFLs), Kai Moore (14 TKLs, 2 TFL), ball-hawking DB Avery Perry (3 INTs), and a list of other tough defensive players.

For the offense, no team so far this season has had an answer for the tough running of the Knights for more than a half. Greencastle had the best chance in an absolute scorcher which saw Northview with their only deficit of the season.

the rush defense for Owen Valley has varied but the same can be said about the scores of their games. The Patriots through 4 games have been on both sides of two blowouts, handling Brown County (60-0) and Edgewood (40-6), but losing badly to South Putnam (46-6) and Indian Creek (38-0). In the losses, Owen Valley allowed over five yards per carry.

FINAL ANALISIS…

The Knights have yet to be stopped on the ground. They have also shown strides toward passing down the field. Owen Valley is a balanced offense that could make things more difficult for Northview, however the Knights have yet to struggle defensively. This game looks like Owen Valley may post more points than has been seen in the past four weeks, however the offense will continue to move the ball with authority and should continue to dominate.
