Marion “Chuck” Auterson, 85, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Signature Healthcare in Terre Haute, Indiana. Chuck was born July 7, 1938 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Robert and Bonnie (Fleming) Auterson.
For over thirty years, Chuck was the owner and operator of Auterson Stump Removal. He was a longtime member of the Clovenhoofs. There was nothing more that he enjoyed than riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed sitting on his porch and hanging out with family and friends at the Eagles.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Emma Auterson Giliberto and Dorothy Auterson Skelton; brothers, Art, Norm, Harold, Don, Oscar and Gabe Auterson; and a grandson Jason “Jay” Auterson. He is survived by his children, Carol Scurlock, Tony (Cindy) Auterson, Patty (Ron) Pharris and Ron (Christina) Auterson; sister-in-law Jeanette Auterson and grandchildren, Wayne, Miranda, Nicole, Justin, Josh, Ronnie and Brandon.
Services will be Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47804. Burial will be at Pleasantview Cemetery in Tecumseh. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
