Penny A.E. Batchelor, 67, passed away surrounded by her family on September 23, 2023 at Gibson Family Center for Hospice. Penny was born to the late Philip and Patricia (Baysinger) Powell on October 23, 1956.

Family was very important to Penny, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a homemaker for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and riding her golf cart around town. Penny was a great cook and was especially good at baking chocolate chip cookies.

Penny is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Daniel Batchelor, one brother, Philip Dean Powell, and a sister, Paula Powell.

Penny is survived by her husband of over 48 years, Danny Batchelor, two daughters, Pearl Summers, and Della Brown (John), grandchildren, Aaron Walden, Jacob Summers, Caleb Summers, John Brown III, and Brendon Brown. Penny is also survived by her lifelong best friend, Donna O’Hern.

In accordance with Penny’s wishes, no services will be held. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to French Funeral Home.
