TERRE HAUTE, Indiana (DLC Media) – A Terre Haute man was arrested for the kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl. The girl went missing last week after leaving her room at her grandparent’s home.

46-year-old Richard Kutch is facing several charges after he created a fake alias and messaged the 15-year-old girl. Kutch was able to convince the girl to leave her room and enter his vehicle. The girl was taken to his home and kept in Kutch’s attic.

According to the girl’s grandparents, she is mentally disabled and would not be able to find her way home if she was any more than a block away from home. Police were able to find the girl on October 6th however they would not arrest Kutch until days later.

Kutch faces charges of kidnapping, domestic battery, and false informing.
