Donna Marie Wells, 81, passed away October 17, 2023 at her residence. Donna was born to the late Albert and Hazel (Cheek) Deakins on November 17, 1942 in Staunton, Indiana.

On April 25, 1959, Donna married her high school sweetheart, Paul E. Wells Sr. She worked as a nurse’s assistant at Clay County and Union Hospital. Being a mother, wife, grandma, and great grandma was the highlight of her life. She was a homemaker for many years.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Martha Jane Davis, Shirley Jo Miller, and Connie Randall.

Donna is survived by her husband, Paul E. Wells Sr., three children, Paul E. Wells Jr. (Susan), James R. Wells (Connie), and Christina E. Wells (Brent), seven grandchildren, Jeremiah “Nathan” McCreery, Anton Fountain, Elizabeth Fountain, Heath M. Wells (Katie), Faith D. Wells (C.J. Gilbert), Paul E. Wells III (Bella Katz), and James W. Wells, great grandchildren, Harley A. McCreery, Lilliona E. McCreery, Steven A. Wells, Parker A. Wells, and Hadleigh A. Wells, as well as several extended family members.
