Victoria Barnett gained her angel wings on October 29, 2023.
She was born on June 3, 1961 to Alfred and Judith VanGilder in Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Vickie graduated from Paris High School in 1979, and on April 4, 1981 she married Todd A.
Barnett. Together they had two children, Andrea Marshall and Anthony Barnett. Vickie worked
for Terre Haute Transit for 22 years.
Vickie enjoyed nature, particularly birds, frogs, and flowers, and volunteered at the 4-H chicken
barn. Most of all, Vickie loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren
Dylan and Dylanee. Vickie will forever be remembered for her very generous heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband Todd Barnett, parents Alfred and Judith VanGilder,
father and mother-in-law Donald and Shirley Barnett, brother-in-law Terry Barnett, and great-
nephew Nicholas Casad.
Vickie is survived by her daughter Andrea Marshall (James Marshall Jr. ), son Anthony Barnett, and grandchildren
Dylan and Dylanee Marshall. Her brother Alfred and Zina VanGilder II, brother and sister-in-laws
Don and Ann Barnett, Tammy Clark, Kyle and Emilie Barnett, Tonya and Sandy Barnett, Kim
Barnett, and Kara and Matt Porter. Her nieces and nephews, Alfred IV, Nicole, Julie and Eric,
Jennifer and James, DJ and Jessie, Craig and Sarah, Drew and Maddie, Brandy, Misty and
Stephen, Bronson and Mackenzie, Tyler, Olivia, Kayla, and Kourtney. Great nieces and
nephews, Collin, Jack, Joel, Afton, Elliot, Ford, Levi, Evelynn, Noah, Caroline, CJ, Halie, Leah,
and Hudson. She is also survived by her special cousin Beverly Mason and best friends Gloria
and Larry Beddow.
Services for Vickie will be Sunday November 5, 2023, with visitation beginning at 1p.m. at
Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13 th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47804. Funeral services
will begin at 3 p.m. with Tom Voll officiating.
