Edith ‘Edie’ Rose (McBride) Grayless, 64, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away November 3, 2023, at The Gibson Center For Hospice Care. with her family and friends by her side. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on November 16, 1958, to James and Katherine (Griffith) McBride.

Edith was a member of Cross Lane Community Church. She was involved in Volunteers of America. Edith loved to play bingo and watch game shows like Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune. Edith previously worked at her sister’s bar ‘Nina’s’ for many years and had been working with her Cackleberries family before she retired. She was known for her amazing Italian Lasagna and Fried Chicken and loved cooking for her family. Edith loved taking care of animals and loved being around her children.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents Katherine Griffith and James McBride; brothers: Thomas McBride, Donald McBride and Anthony ‘Tony’ Fucone; a sister, Ginnie ‘Nina’; and Nephew James Christopher Wrightsman; a special friend Georgetta Favre and Edie’s beloved dog Teddie. She is survived by her children; James McBride (Melissa), Michael Payne (Amanda) and Katrina Grayless; brother James McBride (Connie); a special niece who was like a sister, Kathy Bensinger; her best friend Peggy Rickenbach; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her grand dog Arlie; several nieces and nephews; as well as her friends from Cackleberries who were like a second family to her.

Graveside services will be at 2:00p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Grandview Cemetery. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation in lieu of flowers to help offset funeral expenses.
