She married the love of her life, Harvey Louis Breland, Sr. in 1957. Harvey preceded her in death on January 11, 2020.

Betty was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Harvey Louis Breland, Jr. and Theron Ray Breland; a grandson, Joshua Ray Breland; and six siblings, William Patrick Bush, Gary Thomas Bush, Dola “Lady” Bush Douglas, Bessie Bush Yager, Bertie Bush Miller, and Eleanor Bush Whitehead.

Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl A. Breland; five grandchildren, Shaun Huss, Jeffrey Tubb, Jeremy Tubb and wife Monika, Jennifer Hassler and husband Jonathan, and Christopher Breland; seven great-grandchildren, Skyler Tubb, Ethan Tubb, Lea, Lillian Cooper, Alyssa Cooper, Jacob Tubb, and Bronson Tubb; and five siblings, Charles Leon Bush, Jr. and wife Sherrill, Ina Rae Grubbs and husband Gene, Linda Bush, Janie Bush,her adopted sister Mittie Pounders Corbett; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 12 noon at Roselawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
