TERRE HAUTE, Indiana (DLC Media) – Last week a new Fire Chief was named, and now this week Mayor-Elect Brandon Sakbun has named his new Chief of Police. Experienced police officer Kevin Barrett will take over the position of Chief after 30 years of police work. Barrett went up against 9 other candidates and will now take over for acting Chief Shawn Keen. Barrett brings plenty of experience as he has worked for the special response team, emergency management and operations, patrol division, drug task force, and as a criminal investigations detective.
