James “Jim” Robert Lell, 78, passed away January 13, 2024. Jim was born to the late Robert and Frances (Shelton) Lell in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 10, 1946.

Jim graduated from North College Hill High School in 1964. After high school he went on to receive his Masters in Speech Language Pathology from Miami University. He worked as a speech and hearing therapist for over 50 years, within multiple school systems. Throughout his career, he touched many lives. Jim never met a stranger, and was the type of man that was always able to find the good in people.

Jim enjoyed spending time outside, especially working in his garden. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dog Oakley. He was always there to support his children and grandchildren in extracurricular activities.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of over 47 years, Bonnie (Tiefel) Lell, daughters, Lisa Stewart (Brian), Lori Lell (Zach), and Jennifer Wacker (John), grandchildren, Avery, Mallory, Rylinn, and Addison, siblings, Robert Lell (Donna) and Barb Maple (Dave), as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 18th from 11-2 at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 East 8th Street in Clay City. A funeral service will begin at 2 P.M.
