Becky Blackwell Stewart (73) , born January 31, 1951, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 at Gibson Family Center for Hospice after living with MS for over 35 years. Despite the limitations from MS she always remained positive and found joy in the experiences she was able to have. She was a 1969 graduate of Wiley High School and she worked as an operator at General Telephone Company and then in the deli at Great Scot.

Becky sure was proud of her people and bragged about them to everyone who would listen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Bette Blackwell and her brother, Steve Blackwell.

She is survived by her children, Staci (Tom) McIntyre and Brian (Nicole) Stewart; her grandchildren, Kylie (Cody) Cox, Michael Stewart and Nick Stewart; and first great grandson that she was able to meet, Baylor Cox; sister, Melodie (Dave) Staley and sister-in-law, Margie Blackwell; and several nieces and nephews.

She had been a resident of Wyndmoor and most recently Westridge where she was known as “The Mayor”. She enjoyed all activities, especially Bingo and outings with Angie and the crew.

Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 3:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00p.m. until service time.  If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to The Gibson Hospice Center.
