Norma L. LeMay, 97 of Reelsville, passed away April 6, 2024, at 5:50pm at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. She was born December 13, 1926, in Brazil, the daughter of Harley “Dutch” Crabb and Mary “Maid” Shaffer Crabb. She graduated from VanBuren High School. She married Billie LeMay on June 22, 1946.

Norma and Bill enjoyed camping and square dancing with a group called the Friendly Squares Dancing Club. They enjoyed traveling in the US and to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary, they made a trip to Hawaii. Bill was stationed in the South Pacific during WWII, and he wanted to show Norma the beauty of the island. Norma loved her family and was Aunt Norma to 6 generations of the Crabb family.

Norma worked at the A & P in Brazil and later in Terre Haute. She did bookkeeping there and was also a cashier. She worked 30 years and was proud of her A & P job.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Leandra Brock of Reelsville; great-grandchildren, Damon Neumeyer, Hayden Meredith, and Chloe Unverzagk; many nieces, nephews including, Larry Crabb (Karen), Tim Schurick (Chris), Terry Standley (Max), Gary Crabb (Terry), and Barry Crabb (Pat); and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dutch and Maid Crabb; siblings, Don Crabb (Carol), Jim Crabb (Mary), Betty Morris (Bunk), Beatrice Embry (Speedy); her daughter Billie Jo Crabb and son in law, Bill Crabb.

Services will be held Thursday at 2:00pm at French Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-2:00.
