Anthony Jay Hoggatt, 58, of Staunton, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2024, at his home.

Tony was born on November 19, 1965, in Brazil, Indiana, the son of Eldon and Carolyn Hoggatt. He graduated from Staunton High School with the class of 1984. He worked as a truck driver for Steward-Moore and Jackson Oil for many years before beginning his career at Distribution Terminal.

He loved riding his motorcycle and taking his Camaro to car shows. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Tony was a member of Narcotics Anonymous which was very important to him. He has enjoyed nearly 34 years of sobriety.

He was preceded in death by his father Eldon Hoggatt and a brother Benny Hoggatt.

He is survived by his mother Carolyn Hoggatt; two sisters Dee Smith and Veronica Hall and husband John; close friend Alan Yates as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Services will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Doug Parkey Officiating.
