Patricia Joan Cooper, 66, of Dennison, Illinois, passed away on May 30, 2024, at Union Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was born, September 9, 1957, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Donald E. Brenton and Barbara Joan Collins-Riggs. Patty was a member of Dunlap Church. She enjoyed playing BINGO, her fur babies, telling scary stories to her grandchildren, and she was an Elton John fan. Most of all, Patty loved being around her family. She was a loving wife, a caring mother, an amazing grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed fiercely. She leaves behind her husband of 29 years, Michael Cooper; sons Glenn D. Brock III (Cari), Brian J. Chesshir (Suzette), and Travis M. Chesshir (Melissa); daughter Christina R. Cooper; grandchildren Glenn Brock IV, Ella Brock, Drew Brock, Brett Brock, Brian Chesshir II, Dauston Chesshir, Anniston Chesshir, Brandon McElheny, Alyssa Crawford, and Aubrey Chesshir; great grandsons Everett and Elliott; sister Jackie Price; and sister and brothers-in-laws Joni Brenton, Debbie Brenton; Cindy and Jim Long, and Peggy and Alan Bryant; also many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Patty was preceded in death by her parents; step father Jack Riggs; brothers Donnie Brenton II, David Brenton (Mary), and Ernie Brenton. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 11:00a.m. in Greiner Funeral Home. A burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery with a celebration of life at the West Terre Haute Community Center immediately afterwards for all who want to attend. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. and Thursday, from 9:00a.m. until service time.
