Max Earl Sinders, 87, passed away May 20, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family. Max was born to the late Earl and Gladys (Harbaugh) Sinders on July 15, 1934 in Clay County, Indiana.
Max was a 1952 graduate of Clay City High School. He was a member of Union Chapel Nazarene Church where he served on the board and was the Sunday School Superintendent for many years. On January 12, 1956 Max married the love of his life, Anna Moyne (Jackson) Sinders who preceded him in death in 2019. Max took delight in spending time with his family, especially his grand and great grandchildren. Max was a farmer from the time he was a young boy, even after “retiring” he just couldn’t stay away from the farm.
Max is survived by his son, Richard Sinders (Rita); two daughters, Teresa Amerman (Jake) and Brenda Waite (Bill); grandchildren, Sean Sinders (Tracy), Brian Sinders, Ashley McKee (Paul), T.J. Amerman, (Kara), Kyle Amerman, (Jacki), Brock, Kelsey, Kasey and Zachery Waite (Lauren) ; great-grandchildren, Luke and Lauren Amerman, Cathleen and Cael McKee, Paxton and Parker Amerman, Andrea Rozsa and Juniper Whistler; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is one brother, Elmer Sinders (Carol).
A visitation will be held Monday, May 23rd from 4-8 P.M. at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. 8th Street in Clay City. A funeral service will begin at 11 A.M. on Tuesday May 24th at the funeral home, friends and family may visit from 10 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
