Carrie Ann Rowe, 50, of West Terre Haute, passed away June 29 th 2022. She was born February 1 st , 1972 in Tacoma, Washington to Larry Stockton and Rose Ann Rooen. Carrie lived in Washington with her family until age 5, lived in Oregon through graduation of high school, then moved to San Antonio Texas where she was married to Everaldo Landaverde and subsequently gave birth to her daughter Rose Landaverde in November of 1993. Later she moved back to Oregon with Rose, took college courses in nursing, and worked as a CNA. After her divorce, she met Brian Rowe and they were married in August of 1998, and had their son Ashton in May of 2001. They moved to Indiana in 2003 and lived there until her time of passing.

Carrie was passionate about life and determined to succeed in everything she did. She was an artist with many talents from drawing and painting, to wood working, and creating amazing gardenscapes. Many in the Terre Haute community may have also found her decorative painted rocks hidden at various locations during her involvement with Terre Haute Rocks. She was a member of the American Poolplayers Association for over nine years winning many tournaments and championships as team captain for various teams. She was also a team captain for the
Valley Cash League. She loved plants and botany, and could grow anything from seed, sapling, or clipping. She was known for creating beautiful potted plant starts for family and friends that would have little decorative accents in the soil that made them unique. She was a wonderful cook and would often use spices she grew herself to make Italian, Indian, Chinese, and Mexican cuisines that would amaze her guests. She loved people and different cultures, and had friends from every walk of life. Her love of people extended beyond her friends in her role as Third Vice and Public Relations Officer / Community Service Chairman for AMVETS Post 222, promoting projects in civil preparedness, submitting plans and suggestions on community and
civic projects for the betterment of citizens requiring special assistance, promoting the American way of life; the ideas of God, Country, and patriotic virtues in connection with the Freedoms Foundation. Carrie is also a Vision First Centers of America gift of sight donor to two blessed recipients. She was very supportive of this and many other programs providing organ transplant research and gift fulfillment.

Carrie is survived by her spouse Brian Rowe; daughter Rose Landaverde; adopted daughter Saku Shimada; mother Rose Rooen, step-mother Chris Stockton; step-father Hal Rooen; her siblings Robert Stockton, Stacy Warner, Jennifer May, Shannon Brandt,Nathan Rooen, Stephen Stockton, Jeffrey Stockton, Mary J Bradley; brother-in laws Brandon Rowe, Cory Hamilton, and Mike Randall; many cousins, and numerous other extended family members. Carrie was preceded in death by her father Larry Stockton, grandparents Ralph and Chris Imler, and her son Ashton Rowe.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 15th at 12:30 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA 98499. Larry Redelsperger will officiate. Visitation will be at the garden chapel from 10 am until service time. During visitation hours, the casket will be open.

The family strongly suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice, preferably one that helps teens cope with bullying and suicide prevention.
