Patricia Ann McKee, 75, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away August 1, 2022. She passed away at her residence with loved ones by her side. She was born March 6, 1947, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Harry and Violet (Woodsmall) Knight. Patricia was such a special lady. She was sweet, strong, caring, hardworking, and loved her family and friends without reservation. In school she was known by classmates as the best varsity cheerleader from State Lab School. She was a State Lab School Homecoming queen in 1963, graduating in 1964. Patty as known to her family and close friends, danced and taught dance for Florence Cizek Academy of Dance during her early years. She loved to participate and sing in musicals and high school plays. She loved spending her time supporting her children by going on field trips, helping with countless 4-H projects, and shuttling not only her children to meetings but any other of their friends that needed a ride. She worked hard on the farm; planting and harvesting a 2 acre garden, freezing and canning the rewards. She enjoyed being involved in the Blackhawk Community Center and visiting at family and High School Reunions. She’s famous for her homemade nut rolls, cheesecake, and strawberry pie. She was known as “Pat’s Café” by her grandchildren who loved to spend time with her. She loved her grandkids unconditionally. Patricia is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph Michael McKee; children Melanie Jackson (Jimmy), and Joseph McKee II (Elizabeth), grandchildren Klair Wiram (Zack), Nick Wiram (Morgan), Abigail Wallace (Matt), Madalynn McKee, and Joseph McKee III; and sister Sharron White and many nieces and nephews.
