Sally A. Zuel, 69, of Cory, IN and Terre Haute passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 30, 2022. She was Vice President of Human Resources at Union Hospital and Union Health System. Sally was born January 26, 1953 in Terre Haute to Warren Fell and Rosemary West Fell. Her husband, Richard Zuel, preceded her in death on October 14, 2003.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Bryan Dunn of Cory, IN; and her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Brian Zuel and Dr. Yeonhee Chae of West Lafayette, IN.

Sally was a graduate of Clay City High School and earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Indiana State University. Her career at Union Hospital spanned over 48 years and included positions as a Nursing Assistant and Registered Nurse working in the ICU, Medical Surgical Unit, Nursing Care Manager, Recovery Unit, Staff Education CPR Coordinator, Director of Educational Services and Pharmacy and culminating with her being named VP of Human Resources in 2006. Sally was also very involved in the Terre Haute community serving as the current President of the Wabash Valley Community Foundation and volunteering with the United Way of the Wabash Valley and 4-H. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Order of Eastern Star. Among her favorite things to do included gardening, woodworking, painting and always spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 3, 2022 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Neva McFarland officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Riley, IN. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 2nd from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home.
