Betty Mae Carroll, 90, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on October 24, 2022. She was born August 11, 1932 at home in Advance, Indiana, the youngest child of Robert Bruce Whiteman and Rushie Florence (Bartlett) Whiteman. Betty met the love of her life, Wesley Carroll in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1953. They spent over 62 happy years together. Betty was a devoted wife, homemaker, and the greatest mom to her two children. Betty especially loved spending time with her family. She was always there to help her family when they needed her. She enjoyed going to craft fairs, teddy bears, and Minnie Mouse. In earlier years, Betty enjoyed going fishing with her husband Wes. She professed her faith in her Lord Jesus Christ in her 80’s and stayed faithful to him from that point onward in her life. Betty is survived by her son Eddie Church (Hazel); daughter Caroline Bradley (Richard); grandchildren Rueshee Church Schick (Dave), and Jacob Church; a special nephew Keith Witt; and several more nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wes (2016); infant son in 1950; sister Eliza Ann Witt (Earl); brothers Granville (Doris), Tom (Jean), and Lloyd (Ina); and a host of other family members. Per Bettys wishes, a short private graveside funeral service was held earlier this week at Roselawn Memorial Park, where she was laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Wes.
