Mary G. Gourdouze, 82, of Indianapolis and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday December 15, 2022 in her residence. Mary was born in Terre Haute on March 14, 1940 to Maurice Verdeyen and Clara Biddle Shepard. She was a retired cook for the Vigo County School Corporation. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roger Gourdouze in 2017. She is survived by two daughters; Lisa Gourdouze and Lori (Blane) Davis, a son, Mark Gourdouze. Brothers survive; Ed Gauntt, Maruice, Bill and Raymond Verdeyen. She is survived by one sister, Debbie King, and granddaughters, Lauren Foley, Courtney Ellis, Taylor Parrish. A grandson, Luke Robinson and great granddaughter, Ezlynn Foley and a great grandson, Cooper Parrish. The family would like to thank Independent Adult Day Care for the care and love they showed our beautiful mom. And a special thanks for a very special caregiver Tiffany. Visitation is on December 29, 2022, from  6:00p.m. to 8;00p.m. at Singleton St. Pierre Funeral Home,  Indianapolis. Burial will be at l Highland Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
